The clinics are open to all faculty having primary appointments in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing and to all Kennedy Center investigators. They are also open to post-docs and senior laboratory personnel, medical and surgical fellows, and students in the medical school Emphasis Program. We recommend that mentors attend with post-docs and students but this is not a requirement. Attendees should select the appropriate clinic day according to the above schedule. The Friday clinic is devoted to basic research that is not primarily related to gene microarray or proteomics. Click the links by the individual clinics for more details including a list of faculty and staff responsible for that clinic.
If you have a relatively simple dataset to be analyzed and the analysis can be concluded during the clinic, send your data at least two days in advance to
biostat@vanderbilt.edu and state which clinic you will attend. Preferred formats are R save files, SPSS save files, Stata data files, and comma separated files (
csv files) exported from a spreadsheet or other software, with variable names in the first record. All subject identifiers must be removed from files before sending them to us (please see the
Data De-identification Checklist).
